WEIGH IN DAY & BASIC NUTRITION TIPS!

It's WEIGH IN DAY!! How did you do? Every Monday is WEIGH IN DAY! We track our progress by weighing ourselves, taking our measurements, measuring our body fat or taking a picture. You can track your progress any way you'd like! The most important thing is to track your progress each week or every two weeks.

BASIC NUTRITION TIPS

Here is a video to give you some basic nutrition tips! These are really basic. I hope they are helpful! Comment or email us at GolladayFit@gmail.com if you have questions!



FOODS TO HAVE IN YOUR KITCHEN:

-
Nuts (a small handful of almonds or walnuts)
-Fruits
-Dark green vegetables
-Avocados
-Fish
-Lean ground turkey
-Brown rice
-Quinoa
-Gluten free bread or at least multi grain or whole wheat bread
-Berries
-Oatmeal

-Shakeology
-Greek yogurt

-Cottage cheese
-Spices to add flavor to your food!
-Red potatoes

EAT LESS OR AVOID THESE:

-White bread
-Doughnuts
-Cookies
-Cakes
-Cream sauces
-Ice cream
-Fast food
-Fried foods (french fries)

Weigh In Day April 30!

It's Weigh In Day!! Yay!

Every week we have a Weigh In Day to track our progress. You can check your weight, measurements, body fat or take a photo of yourself to track your progress. Send us an email at GolladayFit@gmail.com to let us know how you are doing!

It's true, some weeks I dread stepping on the scale, but this week wasn't one of those weeks! I did so good on my eating and working out last week. It definitely paid off! I lost another pound and got down to the lowest weight I've gotten so far 139. My first goal was 145, and now I'm trying for 135. So I'm getting closer! Pretty good when you think I was 196 the day I delivered our baby last August 2011! I must be doing something right! :)

Weigh In Day Monday!


It's Weigh In Day! Every Monday is Weigh In Day for the GolladayFit Team! You can take your measurements, weight, body fat, photos, etc. The most important thing is the keep track of your progress to see how you are doing!

I like the quote I posted above. It's true, you only fail when you give up! The most important thing is to keep trying.

This is a lifestyle change, not a diet or a quick fix. This is a lasting change that will help you be healthy and fit forever!

Don't worry, if you ate a huge bowl of ice cream yesterday or a burger and fries on Saturday. Just start again today. That's the best part. Each day is a NEW day that you can start over and try again!

We also revealed the recipe we will be sharing for Recipe Wednesday! Get ready for Baked Ziti made with reduced-fat cheese and fiber-enriched pasta. It's really good!

How was the WEEKEND CHALLENGE? Surprisingly, we did great! We were able to get 8 hours of sleep both nights. Luckily our baby cut her first tooth on Friday so she slept great both nights! Ahh! Sleep! :)

It's Weigh in Day and President's Day!




It's Weigh in Day! How did you do? Watch this video to hear the announcements for the week and more!


What to eat throughout the day (A few ideas):
Breakfast:  Shakeology (something that is high in fiber)
Snack:  1 Kiwi with 1/4 nonfat strawberry yogurt for dipping
Lunch:  Whole wheat tortilla with turkey slices, spinach, avocado and a little ranch
Snack:  1 hard boiled egg
Dinner:  Butternut squash and green apple soup (recipe coming Wed.)

Greenberry Vanilla Shakeology Recipe:
(from my coach, Hank)

1/2 scoop Greenberry Shakeology
1 scoop Vanilla Protein Powder
1 Banana 

1 cup milk
Ice to taste

** This is so good! I love the flavor. I wasn't a huge fan of the Greenberry flavor, but it tastes great with vanilla mixed in!

Weigh In Day and The Push Up Challenge!

The WEEKEND CHALLENGE this week was to do as many push ups as you can in one minute. Patrick and I took the challenge. We filmed Patrick doing the challenge. Watch the video to see how many he did!

I only did 23. These were real push ups too. Not too bad for mom. :)
